Trinity Place, San Francisco, California, United States

Arquitectonica Breaks Ground On San Francisco Mega Project
Miami based Arquitectonica have broken ground on Trinity Place, a 1900 unit residential project located less than a mile from the San Francisco Civic Center. The project consists of six towers ranging from 18 to 26 stories high located on an entire city block at the intersection of Market Street and Eighth Avenue.

The project consists of five thin rectangular residential slabs located atop parking and retail that are organized in a pinwheel arrangement around a central park, which serves as a focal point for the development. This pinwheel arrangement allows for diagonal views into and out of this space. The buildings are conceived as a series of prisms, with differing volumes that results in an individual expression for each within the common vocabulary of the block. The building facades, which are to be clad in colored concrete panels, combine two tones of grey, pewter and steel and two tones of beige limestone and sand to strike a subtle yet clear differentiation between the volumes.

The project, which will be completed in three phases, also includes a 1400-car parking garage. The first phase of the project will be completed in two years
